This chamber will be used to perform temperature and humidity testing of heat pump and air handling systems containing hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants. This Tenney walk-in chamber maintains a relative humidity range of 20-85% in the temperature range of 20°C to 85°C limited by a 5°C dew point. Tenney Environmental, a division of Thermal Product Solutions, announced the shipment of a vacuum drying oven to the aerospace industry. This vacuum drying oven is designed to remove moisture from a large spacecraft engine after it goes through a washing process. The previous conventional method of drying took over 12 hours due to the intricacy of small diameter tubing, fine screen meshes, and other hard to get to areas. The vacuum drying oven will reduce that time to 4 hours. This vacuum drying oven utilizes radiant heat wrapped around the pressure walls to heat the product to approximately 100°F. The

The space simulator is a fairly standard piece of equipment for Tenney, but each simulator can be customized to meet the customer’s unique process needs. The refurbished Tenney space simulation chamber utilizes a cascade cooling system and has a temperature range of -60°C to +90°C. It is constructed with a thermal shroud and thermal platen which will perform the thermal conditioning function.
