1. Plant Tour
Tour of the manufacturing facility to see how units are manufactured
and tested.
2. Refrigeration and Environmental Test Chamber Review
Review basic refrigeration practices, system components, types of
refrigeration systems and typical system capabilities.
3. Cascade Refrigeration Theory
Introduce students to cascade refrigeration theory and system operation.
Students will study cascade refrigeration components and refrigerants
used in Tenney environmental test chambers.
4. Reading Tenney Electrical & Refrigeration Schematics
Instruct students on how to use refrigeration and electrical schematics
to better understand the operation of Tenney equipment. Topics
will include print readings, parts lists, nomenclature, and symbols.
5. Controller training : VT5, VT3, 942, 1462
Instruct students on the programming, operation, and calibration
of Tenney’s most frequently used control systems.
6. Humidifier & Humidity Sensor Training
Instruct students on the principles of humidity and humidity control.
Students will learn maintenance, troubleshooting, & water requirements
for the Tenney Vapor-Flo humidity generator. Students will also
study the calibration & operation of the Vaisala humidity sensor.
7. Service & Troubleshooting
Instruct students on how to troubleshoot a Tenney chamber using electrical
prints, refrigeration prints, diagnostic tools and manuals. Students
will have hands on training troubleshooting various chamber problems.
