Silicon Crystal Growing Equipment for Solar and Semiconductor Applications
Kayex develops and manufactures semiconductor and photovoltaic crystal
growing furnaces used to produce silicon,
germanium and gallium arsenide crystal ingots.
These high-temperature crystal growers utilize the Czochralski
or CZ method of crystal growing. The crystallization
process begins when highly pure material
is melted and a seed crystal is dipped into
the molten material and made to grow. The
crystal increases in size as the seed is
slowly raised from the melt, which is why
the crystal growing furnace is often referred
to as a "crystal
puller."
Kayex’s line of silicon
crystal growing furnaces produce crystals
used as starting materials for semiconducting
devices such as integrated circuits or discrete devices.
Kayex’s state-of-the-art solar
crystal growing furnaces, like
silicon crystal growers, also utilize the Czochralski method. This
line of solar crystal growth furnaces produce crystals used in alternative
energy solutions and with today’s energy costs, substitute
products are increasing in importance.
